Mark belongs to the 4th generation of Teddington artists. His mother was the renowned local artist, Avril Vellacott who worked in film and as an accomplished sculptor. Mark has followed in his mother’s footsteps to become a highly talented sculptor with work who has been exhibited locally, and bronze copies of his portraits can be found as far afield as the USA and Australia.
A number of his busts are designed specifically for visually impaired people so that they may gain an impression of well known characters, including James Bond (seen here). This is on display in the gallery garden together with many other portraits.
