The type of personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it:
- Via our website we collect anonymised browser data through Google Analytics cookies, which are stored for up to 36 months (although we will not be able to identify you via this information). This includes general information about the number of people accessing the site, which pages they access and how long for (without any of your personal data being attached to this), as well as anonymised demographics and interest data. If you are happy for Google to track to this information please click to ‘Accept’ cookies. You can find out more about this kind of tracking via Google here >>
- At any time you can select to ‘Decline’ cookies if you would rather Google Analytics did not access information via your browser.
- For anyone signing up to our mailing list, either through our website or through a physical event, your Name and Email address will be stored by our system. At any point you can choose to unsubscribe from our mailing list, which means you will not receive any further mailings from us unless you choose to amend your preferences (please contact us to let us know if your preferences change). We will never require more than your name and email address to receive our monthly mailings.
- Please note, we will not store any of your payment information longer than necessary to process your payment for a single transaction. If a refund is required for any reason as outlined via our Terms and Conditions, this will be processed via the original payment method, and if this is not available we will request your preferred refund method for this purpose only.
- If you purchase a work of art through our site or through an exhibition, we will either process your details directly to ship your work, or we will pass your details securely to the artist so they can ship this to you directly. We require that your information is only stored for the purposes of processing your agreed upon transaction, unless you agree to your details being stored by the artist after they have shipped your work.
- We will never share any of your information with any other third parties, unless we have your express, written permission to do so.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing your personal information are:
(a) Your consent - for instance, if you have signed up to our mailing list. You are able to remove your consent at any time by contacting us via email or post.
(b) We have a contractual obligation - for instance, if you have purchased an artwork through us or have booked a workshop with us. This means we will either process your information ourselves (as outlined above) or provide your information to the artist shipping work to you or the workshop facilitator running your session.
